I was pretty excited about my trip to India until I checked the five-day forecast.
GE’s global research is truly global, leaving a lot of possible destinations. It wasn’t clear that India was going to be on Ars’ travel list, nor was it evident that I was going to be the one headed there. But India promised information on health care technology and energy systems, things comfortably within my areas of coverage. I was going across the globe.
In a lot of ways, I was pretty excited about that chance. India has an amazing mix of culture and history, and I was curious to compare its food to that made by the expats who have settled in Queens. Bangalore/Bengaluru itself sounded like it’s been aggressively modernized, but I was confident there would be a chance to see more in the area.
