In the future, smartphone batteries could last longer and recharge faster, all thanks to peanuts

Researchers at Purdue University have developed a process which could repurpose the billions of packing peanuts that don't get recycled, into a new type of anode for lithium-ion batteries, resulting in more energy storage and faster recharging.
