Instagram’s demand for a Mac App Store developer to pull his $5 app has come and gone—and the company isn’t saying why.
Last month, Caleb Benn, a 17-year-old Los Angeles high school student released a Mac desktop app called "Uploader for Instagram." As the name implies, it allows users to upload photos to their Instagram accounts.
Since then, Benn’s already made "around $6,000" in revenue, which he says will go towards his college fund—he’s already been accepted to the University of California Berkeley, and hopes to study computer science.
