Liveblog: Google’s 2015 Nexus launch event

Google is about to unveil its 2015 smartphone lineup. On September 29 at 9am PT/12pm ET, the company is promising to show off "tasty new treats and much s'more."

We're expecting the company to unveil brand-new versions of the Nexus 5 and Nexus 6: the "Nexus 5X" made by LG and "Nexus 6P" made by Huawei. Leaks suggest that both devices will come with fingerprint readers and USB Type C ports.

Both devices will be packing Android 6.0, Marshmallow, which we're also expecting to hear a lot more about at the event. There has been an "Android M" developer preview out for some time now, but that shows only the updated Android platform. It omits all of the updated apps and services that Google will build on top of it.
