At the end of what feels like an unending day of E3 pre-show press conferences, Sony showed off ninety jam-packed minutes of its wares to an audience that seemed somewhat more vocal than those who attended the day’s previous press conferences—maybe it was the alcohol.
Sony kicked things off with a gameplay video of The Last Guardian, which creator Shuhei Yoshida was particularly excited to introduce; this segued directly into yet another post-apocalyptic adventure called Horizon: Zero Dawn (which Ars culture writer Sam Machkovech judged to be “HELLA BALLER” in all caps).
The mad skipping through genres continued, as we then got a cinematic trailer for a new Hitman title—with a PS4-exclusive beta and PS4-exclusive assassination missions—followed by Street Fighter 5, which is a PS4 exclusive. In fact, “PS4 exclusive” was a running theme in this event.
