A 29-year-old Briton has pleaded guilty to five counts of supplying and possessing drugs on Silk Road 2.0, specifically magic mushrooms and cannabis, after appearing in Swansea Crown Court on Monday.
The successor site to the famed Silk Road sprung up just one month after the original Silk Road was shuttered in 2013—but it was infiltrated by American law enforcement from the start.
Cei William Owens was arrested as one of seven UK citizens nabbed in the wake of the November 2014 arrest of Blake Benthall, the alleged kingpin of Silk Road 2.0. Williams and others were charged in February 2015.
