Liveblog: It’s phablet season at Samsung Galaxy Unpacked, 8/13 at 11am ET

Samsung is expected to take the wraps off of its new phablet lineup this week when the company's "Samsung Galaxy Unpacked" event happens tomorrow, August 13, at 11am ET (8am PT, 4pm UK). Samsung's biggest phablet update for 2014—the Note 4—featured its line's smallest tweaks yet at a time when the market was becoming more competitive than ever. It makes this week's event all the more interesting, and Ars will be liveblogging away to bring you the latest developments as they happen.

We will most likely see the launch of the Galaxy Note 5, the latest in Samsung's line of products that defined the phablet. Earlier leaks showed a device that looks a lot like the current Note 4 crossed with the Galaxy S6, including inheriting the Galaxy S6's non-removable parts and glass-and-metal body. Reports say the device has a glass back, non-removable battery, and no microSD slot. We're also rumored to get a device called the "Galaxy S6 Edge+," which shares the curved screen design of the Galaxy S6 Edge in a bigger, Note-sized form factor.

These are all just rumors, though. Tomorrow, we'll get to hear everything straight from the horse's mouth. Be sure to tune in and keep your browsers open to Ars for the latest updates.
