First Bloodborne DLC The Old Hunters coming in November

Bloodborne: The Old Hunters reveal trailer.

The first DLC for From Software's critically acclaimed action RPG Bloodborne, called The Old Hunters, is coming on November 14 in Japan, Sony announced today. A retail version combining the original game with the DLC is due out in Japan on December 3. It is unclear yet whether these are also the release dates for Europe and North America; we are seeking clarification from Sony.

The Old Hunters tells the story of the legendary hunters, which are referenced only briefly in the main game. A gameplay trailer (embedded above) unveiled during the announcement showed some of those old hunters taking on bosses such as Darkbeast Paarl and Vicar Amelia, and also using new weapons such as a bow and arrow. A flaming buzzsaw, and curved blade weapons were also shown.

Sony announced that Bloodborne has topped two million in sales since its launch in March last year, which is impressive for such a core game (spolier: it's really, really difficult). Ars Technica was extremely positive in its review, calling the game "a wonderful way to usher the [Souls] franchise onto a new generation of consoles."
