Cyberpunk 2077 release pushed back to September 17, 2020

CD Projekt Red announced via tweet this afternoon that the heavily anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 would be released on September 17, 2020. That's a five-month delay from the April 16 release date that was announced last June.

"We are currently at a stage where the game is complete and playable, but there's still work to be done," the company wrote. "Night City is massive—full of stories, content, and place to visit, but due to the sheer scale and complexity of it all, we need more time to finish playtesting, fixing, and polishing."

"We want Cyberpunk 2077 to be our crowning achievement for this generation and postponing launch will give us the previous months we need to make the game perfect," the message continues.
